More sad news

I received the following yesterday from Campbell Hall.

February 5, 2008

Dear Alumni-

I am so sorry to have to write once again with sad news. Unfortunately, two members of our community recently passed away. Below is an e-mail from Rev. Newman which I am forwarding to you.

Dear Campbell Hall/Argyll Community:

It is with a heavy heart that we communicate that both Natalie Garnier and Diane Buckler died last week.

Natalie Garnier died January 28 peacefully of old age and pneumonia complications. She was our Argyll Episcopal Academy/Campbell Hall school receptionist from 1973 until her retirement in 2003. In the coming weeks, her family is planning a memorial service at Campbell Hall. We will pass along the information as soon as it comes available.

Diane Buckler died January 31 of cancer. Diane started as a part-time teacher in 1980 and soon became a full-time faculty member. She was the photography teacher at Campbell Hall for over twenty years. Diane was our Visual Arts Department Chair from 1992-2002 and left Campbell Hall in 2002. Memorial service information is still pending.

Both Natalie and Diane personified the Campbell Hall-Argyll spirit. They will be missed. Please keep Natalie’s and Diane’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

O God of grace and glory, we remember before you this day our sisters Natalie Garnier and Diane Buckler. We thank you for giving them to us to know and to love as a companion on our earthly pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn, especially their families and friends. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before; we pray in your most Holy Name. Amen.
