Karen Andrews O’Connor

O’CONNOR, Karen Andrews Passed away July 22, 2008, from complications of a stroke.

Karen was born in 1936 in East Lansing, Michigan. She attended Hollywood Professional High School in Los Angeles, and graduated with a degree in Political Science from University of Southern California. She served as President of Chi Omega Fraternity at USC and has long been an active volunteer for the Republican Party. She taught history and government at Campbell Hall School and Argyll Academy for over 30 years. An avid swimmer in her youth, she loved living near the beach in her later years.

She is remembered with love by her husband, Colonel George Francis O’Connor. She is also survived by her daughters, Kathryn Andrews, Kathleen Andrews, Kristy Andrews, and Kimberly Andrews, and by three grandchildren. She will be remembered by her sons-in-law, Jeffrey Vincent and Nicholas Briggs; and by her stepchildren, Terrance and Anita O’Connor, and Maureen and Donald McFarland.

Services will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance, CA on July 29, at 2:00 p.m. with burial at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
